If you have an older Sonos product you may have received a message in your Sonos app or an email from Sonos regarding the end of software updates for some products in your system. In May, the following products will be classified as legacy products and no longer receive software updates and new features.

  • Connect
  • Connect:Amp
  • Play:5 (Gen 1)
  • Bridge

Any legacy product you own will still work and will receive bug fixes and security updates from Sonos, however, they will not receive new feature updates. Over time this may disrupt access to services and overall functionality.

At the moment, come May, systems with legacy products will not receive feature updates. Sonos is working on a solution that will allow modern products and legacy products to work together on the same system while allowing modern products to stay up-to-date with the latest features.
