Tip: It will be easier if you first turn off the device you are trying to remove from Find My [Device]. If the device is completely powered off and not connected to the internet it will reduce the amount of steps needed.

First on a computer open your web-browser and visit www.icloud.com/find

Log into the iCloud account of the device you want to remove from Find My [Device]. Remember this has to be the iCloud account that is currently signed into the device you want to remove.

Click on Find iPhone (if you aren’t there already)

Click on All Devices

If your device is currently offline:

If you power off the device you are trying to remove, wait a couple of minutes, and refresh the icloud.com/find webpage. Your device may appear as offline at that point.

Select the device you want to remove from the list of devices.

Click Remove From Account

If your device is currently online:

Select the device you want to remove from the list of devices.

Click Erase [Device].

Warning this will erase all the data on your device. If you do not have a recent backup your data will be lost forever.

Click Erase

Enter your iCloud account password

Click Next

Click Done

Click Remove From Account
